Director of Finance (Head of Finance)

The Person

Role: 

  • To provide financial leadership and incisive financial analysis to enhance and drive business  performance. 
  • To provide accounting and budgeting information including technical responsibilities such as tax,  treasury, pensions etc and advice in relation to the same. 
  • To ensure robust financial management of all income, expenditure, assets and liabilities. 
  • To drive business growth in line with the strategic plan. 
  • To liaise with the Executive and Board on ad-hoc requests / tasks. 
  • To work with key clients including public sector

Responsibilities: 

  1. Prepare, interpret and submit monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts and financial  board packs / reports for the Executive and Board. This includes detailed variance analysis for  material variances from budget. Key actions and decisions required to be clearly identified,  highlighted and presented. 
  2. Supervise, lead and develop all finance staff. Including, but not limited to, the sourcing,  interviewing and appraisal of new and existing finance staff. 
  3. Control over cash collection and disbursement; forecasting of cash requirements, working with Accounts team on cash flow  management. 
  4. Assist the Operations team in managing staff timesheets to ensure maximum compliance and  return on billable hours. 
  5. Prepare reports for a variety of commercial requirements. These include reports to facilitate  informed decision making by the Executive and Board. 
  6. Develop and implement financial policies, processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the  companies’ financial performance and improve efficiencies across all levels. 
  7. Preparation, negotiation and re-negotiation of bank facilities to include on-going relationship  building with the company’s financial institutions. 
  8. Preparation and submission of grant applications.
  9. Advise on public procurement policies
  10. Drive improved business performance through financial analysis including evaluation of margin  performance by customer and product category. 
  11. Budgetary Management: The production of the annual financial plan coupled with regular re forecasting of same. 
  12. Preparation and management of the sales revenue forecasts in conjunction with Director of Marketing Communications
  13. Assist with pricing contracts, profitability analysis for new and existing business.
  14. Prepare annual financial statements for audit and manage the audit process. 
  15. Submission of the annual return and all other secretarial requirements as requested by the  Executive and Board. 
  16. Liaise with outside agencies on pension and taxation matters to include, but not limited to,  preparing, negotiating and completing Revenue Audits, preparing company Corporation Tax /  VAT / Payroll tax returns etc. 
  17. Manage all company insurance requirements. 
  18. Complete ad-hoc requests as appropriate. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Qualified Accountant with  5 – 10 years experience
  • Experience of working in a fast growing company
  • Strong technical knowledge in Financial Services Regulation with a particular emphasis on Public Procurement
  • Strong Financial Analysis and problem solving skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organisation and its clients

Digital Account Manager/Strategist 

Core Optimisation is a rapidly growing Google Premier Partner digital agency who are in the top 5% of Google Premier Partners in EMEA. Due to our continued growth, we require a Digital Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing in a client-facing role. The right candidate must be passionate about digital and the delivery of exceptional customer experience. The successful applicant for this role will be required to manage a customer portfolio. Your aim will be to collaborate with your clients and the internal digital team to develop effective digital marketing strategies that drive online revenue and achieve ROI goals.

This role offers flexible working hours and remote location for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Lead digital strategy development and execution for your client portfolio.
  • Manage Client Relationships by building trust and rapport while delivering on the goals and objectives set out in the strategy

Required Experience

  • 2+ years experience in a client-facing Digital Role

  • Strong Analytical Skills with experience working with Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Proven success in retaining and growing revenue from clients whilst demonstrating a great level of service.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide insight and identify trends and deliver these in a comprehensive manner to our client base.
  • Strong organisational skills are essential as you will be managing a number of accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation skills are essential as you will be delivering Quarterly Business Reviews with your client portfolio.
  • Ability to operate with high energy, creativity and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

CRM Analyst

Data Analyst

The Data Analyst responsibilities include carrying out analysis and evaluation of project effectiveness with key stakeholders. This will include analysing CRM data, identifying trends and Survey evaluations and utilising tools such as BI reports.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Compiling and populating Performance reports and distributing to Senior Team. 
  • Serve as the CRM data analyst specialist for a large project
  • Identify and investigate trends, patterns, anomalies, spikes and other occurrences in data sets that will help drive intelligent planning and decisions.
  • Collaborating with the wider team and business partners to build innovative reporting and insight solutions using existing and external tools.
  • Ensure the project CRM system provides an effective and efficient funnel to track, service and monitor project participant activity and progress 
  • Manage quality and consistency of data, train users, generate reports and input data to support the project
  • Use reporting and BI tools to highlight risks and opportunities for the project
  • Create reports for colleagues to help them make more effective decisions.
  • Carry out Project evaluation with key stakeholders using survey tools
  • Analyse feedback from project evaluation and feed recommendations and improvements back to project team
  • Maintaining excellent communication with all project leads and ensuring they are well-informed regarding key performance indicator trends
  • Work with cross-functional teams to build reports and interactive experiences for data delivery and easily understood presentation to clients.
  • Update and maintain stakeholder records within the CRM system
  • Communicate with project team on a regular basis to ensure clean data for use across all areas of the organization
  • Assist with administrative duties related to research & business intelligence
  • Demonstrate a complete commitment to the goals and mission of the project

Experience Required

  • 2-4 years of experience in a CRM and/or analytical role (ideal backgrounds include: a similar business analyst role in hospitality, marketing agency, web company, data-base management, CRM administrator, or other data strategy type positions)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or similar field
  • Ability to work with large datasets and summarize findings in a clear format
  • Combine creative and pragmatic use of insight and data with attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical skills to analyze reports including conversion rates, business won and lost and return on investment formulas
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and ability to quickly learn industry related windows software
  • Experience with statistical packages such as Power BI, SAS, R, SPSS, etc. a plus
  • Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM system management experience required
  • Experience troubleshooting both hardware and software issues
  • Demonstrated ability to convey a sense of urgency, openness to new ideas, inclusion & diversity, integrity, customer focus, and respect
  • Strong Communication (verbal & written) and Interpersonal Skill
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Skills:

  • An individual with proven experience in delivering reports and presentations through visualization tools e.g. PowerBI, PowerPoint, Click Up, etc.
  • Someone who is skilled in problem-solving and has excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide impactful insights from data.
